Chapter One: Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study
Evaluating attendee experience is crucial for the success of events, as it provides organizers with insights into what worked well and areas for improvement. In Jalingo Local Government Area, Taraba State, the use of questionnaires has become a common method for gathering feedback from attendees. Questionnaires allow for the collection of both quantitative and qualitative data, enabling event organizers to assess satisfaction levels, preferences, and challenges. According to Musa and Ibrahim (2023), well-designed questionnaires can significantly enhance the quality of events by informing decision-making and fostering continuous improvement. Despite their benefits, the effectiveness of questionnaires in evaluating attendee experience in Jalingo remains underexplored.

1.2 Statement of the Problem
While questionnaires are widely used for evaluating attendee experience, issues such as poor design, low response rates, and lack of follow-up often undermine their effectiveness. These challenges prevent organizers from fully understanding attendees' needs and preferences, leading to suboptimal event outcomes. This study assesses the use of questionnaires in evaluating attendee experience in Jalingo LGA, identifying best practices and areas for improvement.
